The House

15 Rue du Vieil Hôpital is situated in the medieval village, one block back from the main street and in a quiet courtyard with no through traffic. All the cafés, shops and bars are within easy walking distance, as is the Carrefour Market.

On the ground floor there is a large garage which will fit an estate car with ample room for several bikes. Although there are a number of car parks in the village, it’s a great advantage to be able to park by (actually in!) the house and to be able to keep your bikes secure.

PLEASE NOTE: Monday morning (52 weeks of the years) is Provençal market day. This means the car park nearest the house is closed and any vehicles left over-night are towed to Carpentras (16kms away). The owners are then responsible for recovering them with accompanying three figure Euro fine. ALSO, if you leave your car in the garage on a Sunday evening you will not be able to get it out until 2.00pm on Monday.

There are five bedrooms as follows:

THIRD FLOOR: One Double, one single
SECOND FLOOR: Two doubles
FIRST FLOOR: One double. (This room has a very solid fold out futon so if not in use as a bedroom makes a second sitting room)

SECOND FLOOR: Shower room with WC, wash basin & heated towel rail
FIRST FLOOR: Shower room with wash basin. Separate WC

Outside

There is a large terrace which is accessible via French doors from the kitchen. During the summer there is a natural shade from the grapevine which is trained over a trellis. A large parasol is also available which fits into a hole in the centre of the outside table. Relax here and enjoy a glass of wine with an excellent view over Mt Ventoux. There is a barbecue.
